Sigma impact | Luther Ingram nominated for YMCA of Greater Louisville’s black achiever’s award recipient

Sigma Impact is an initiative showcasing members who give back to the community through service and beyond.

This week we recognize Brother Luther Ingram who is being celebrated for his contribution to the community at this past weekend 41st annual YMCA Black Achievers’ Awards Celebration.

Luther Ingram is a senior director for plant management with GE Appliances and is among other honorees at the event, which was held on February 23rd at the Galt House Hotel.

Each year, the Black Achievers’ Awards celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of local students and show appreciation for the professionals and community partners who support the YMCA program.

Ingram and other GE employees are actively engaged in the Chestnut Street YMCA program, where Ingram serves as a board member.

Through its educational opportunities, career guidance and mentoring, the Black Achievers Program makes good things happen every day for young people. With the support of the community, including from GE Appliances, the Black Achievers program is able to award college scholarships each year to minority students.

Congratulations to Brother Luther Ingram!
